Smartwatch-Embedded Biosensors For Healthcare Monitoring
Master Thesis - October 2023
This master's thesis delves into my two-year work on wearable biosensors at the DVIC. It covers the BioWatch development and the design of a microneedle lactate sensor module for the BioWatch. Beyond exploring smartwatches' potential, this thesis advocates a systemic design approach to wearable biomonitoring systems, driven by the triptych: technical performance, user experience, and medical relevance.
Exploring Activity-Induced Lactate Pharmacokinetics: Implications for Minimally-Invasive Monitoring
Literature Review - August 2023
Faced with the lack of research on dermal ISF lactate concentrations, I wrote this article during my internship at PKvitality. I investigated the main parameters influencing lactate diffusion, and therefore, the clinical value of dermal ISF lactate as a muscular fatigue biomarker. This pharmacological guide summarizes my literature research for developers of lactate microneedle biosensors.
